Spring is Coming!

Spring is right around for the corner. What are you doing to your EV to get it cleaned up from the winter salt? Or for those of you who don't live in the snow belt, are you planning anything special for the new season?

A new mod?
A fresh bath?
A new set of tires?
Some new Gadget?

A new EV???

I bought a new screen protector some months ago which I am waiting for 70's temps to install.
It will be nice to change back to the original 19" rims c/w all season in April, they look so much better than my winter 18" rims/snow tires.
Plan to do more Island excursions this summer as the charging infrastructure is much better now particularly north/west Island ie: BC Hydro and Tesla.

Both of our Mach E's are getting close to needing a new set of tires. Hoping to replace them with the same OEM (or most similar) Michelin tires that are on the car now.

I've been doing a lot of skiing last couple weeks, so lots of drives up into the mountains. Roads were full of snow, then on return, brown slush (from the sanding) coming back down below the freezing level. That required regular washing back home to get it cleaned up.

It's been snowing heavily in the mountains for the last week, and I was usually on the roads early in the morning before the snowplows and sanding trucks were out. So I made good use of the Snow drive mode in my AWD Ioniq 6. Works like magic on icy roads. This drive mode utilizes 4 wheel independent torque and braking to keep the car from spinning or sliding out. Works even better than my past Subarus which had a mechanical equivalent to keep the car going straight in slippery conditions. But this EV is even better with its sensors and instant corrections.
