Honda is all I’ve driven since 2003 and they’ve all done it. You answered my question as to who to blame.

Welcome changes!

The Clarity is our first vehicle with CarPlay, and I find it’s implementation clunky. For instance, if we have Waze up on the screen and are listening to podcasts, it’s awkward if you just want to jump ahead 30 seconds on the podcast. Similarly, changing Sirius stations requires more button pushing than necessary. And I’ve never liked how the phone gets demoted to turn-by-turn instructions when the map screen is up on the display.

I had “split screen” capability on my wish list for the Clarity, and this is at least a step in the right direction.

I have an old Android phone as the default connected device in my car. It's used for Google Maps navigation(with offline maps) and music. If I need to play something on my iPhone, I'll do it through bluetooth. Don't have to plug my iPhone every time I drive now.
