Said goodbye to my Clarity:(

Hit from behind on the highway. Drivers seat back broke and no airbags went off. Got a settlement of about $18,000US ($24,400 Can.) It was tough to argue because we couldn’t find any cars to compare too. Ended up with a value between one in Vancouver and one in Calgary. Had 109,000 kms about 68,000 miles. Ended up buying a demo Ford Mach e GTPE for $40,200 Can ($28,900 US) with 5400 kms on it. Hoping it’s a good one.

My sincere condolences. I know my Clarity is irreplaceable, but at nearly 9 years old, I know from my experience with my gen-1 Insights that Honda will make it increasingly difficult to maintain. I hope you enjoy your Mach e.

That's a big hit.

Generally air bags don't go off in rear end hits like this. They are more for forward/side impacts. The seat breaking is a common problem.
I broke my seat in a rear-ender as well that wasn't even remotely this bad. They need to do a better job with the gears on reclining seats if you ask me.

A car is a car. you walked away, and that's a good day.

Enjoy the mach E. Post some new pics of it in the mach E forum. We have a couple of those now around here.

Absolutely true. Any accident that you walk away from is a good day! I will post some pictures
