Roof rack options

Has anyone pulled up the black slats on their roof? Non-EV Kona(s) appear to have mounting points for roof racks or full-on ridges down the length of the car's roof. I'd kinda like a roof rack.

Yes, I understand there is more drag with a roof rack but I just want to use my car like I would any other car.

Hey I just had the same question! I'm not brave enough to pull the slats up.

Thule and Yakima have universal rack attachments but are pricey. Cruz is a Spanish company that makes attachment posts (I don't know the right terms) with bars specific to lots of cars, and they have them for the Kona. Much more reasonably priced. I have a set on order from Rack Attack. I can't vouch for them yet but will post an update when they arrive.
