Refill inverter coolant

Boy, sure glad I got rid of my 2019 Kona when I did back in 2022 (received $5K more than I paid for it). I was mostly worried about the gearbox/motor (ticking problem), although I had mine fixed. But no guarantee that it would never come back, and likely when out of warranty.

I hope my I6 will be OK. There is this lingering ICCU issue, and have had 3 recalls on it already. Not sure exactly what the problem is, but mine has always been good so far. Has to do with charging the 12V battery. My recalls have just been software updates, to prevent a problem, I think. But some have failed and needed replacements.

Cheers for the advice guys, RP we're all very happy you got a good deal on your trade in.
I'm actually still very happy with the car, and plan to keep it as my second electric car for many years to come.
Whilst getting new parts for free is fun, I do kinda hope this will be the last time. :D

Hyundai finally replaced all those expensive parts, 25K, that refused to give up the old coolant particles. For their sake I hope thats the end of the coolant dramas. My car has cost them plenty over the journey.

As feared, I did have my ICCU in the I6 fail a few months ago. Took almost 4 weeks to get parts and have it replaced. Hope it is good now. Will be going on a 6000 km trip starting at end of this of week, way up in the Yukon, far, far away from any Hyundai dealers.

Interesting RP, but maybe not that relevant to the topic at hand here. :)

It's great the parts arrived before your planned trip. Please tell us about your adventure when you get home. PlugShare doesn't show many charging stations in the Yukon and none north of these few, so you'll need to plan carefully.

True, but since you had acknowledged my previous post on my I6 purchase and concerns about the ICCU, thought I would give you an update. It's disconcerting that Hyundai still continues to have some of these bad issues in their new cars, like we had with our Konas, and still with the newest ones like my I6.

Well, there isn't much north of Dawson City which is the furthest we are going. Planning to drop down into Skagway as well. And the charging stations up there are all free. Will give a full update on another thread when we get back. Hopefully, the car will be OK for this trip.
