Recent (2023) windshield replacement experience

Anyone have any 2025 experience so far? Last time Safelite could do the install, but because they're new calibration rig requires access to the rear wheels, the insurance company had to then send me to the dealer for recalibration.

I just got mine done at Sarasota Honda, I never saw an estimate as State Farm took care of it. They did the calibration at my house a day later.

About a year ago, right after I moved from LV to Phoenix, and shortly after my previous adventure with my windshield, while I was taking the freeway out of Kingsman some ginormous black pickup truck zoomed past me (I was driving 70) and threw a chip who made bull's eye right in front of my eyes. I called Safelite and they came to my house. The guy told me the windshield didn't need replacement since it was an impact small enough for him to repair on the spot, assuring structural stability and leaving "only a minor cosmetic mark". I agreed, since I didn't want to freak out the insurance with a new claim so soon, making them rise their (already high) rates. Now I got used to drive with that little crosshairs in front of me. I guess I will replace it when I decide to sell the car or if I get another rock, which are pretty frequent here.
