I’m new to mini, but since May I have been on the forum and Reddit and I don’t recall anyone posting this.

Just got this in the mail today while still waiting for production to begin (97 days since order submitted). I’m surprised for sure that they do this. I’m not sure what triggers getting one, but pretty cool and a nice touch of customer service.

This is what MINI USA VP Mike Peyton sent me in 2020 during my 51-week wait:

I was briefely hopeful that Mike Peyton chose to send to me this image in response to a letter I sent him, where I begged to pay $1,500 extra to get my SE with the less-expensive base MINI Cooper hood that didn't include the fake hood scoop. Sadly, he didn't reply to my letter and I later heard that even people who had already received their MINI Cooper SEs also received the concept sketch with the same note that their "MINI will be here before you know it."

I wonder how many puzzles they sent out? There are two puzzles for sale on eBay. One is offered for $1,000 and the other is a bargain at only $700 (plus a nominal $50 shipping fee).

Edit: I just realized the puzzle isn't a photo of a MINI Cooper SE! I hope I can get my $1,000 back. /s

I got one of those too. Now that I look at it, isn't it similar to the upcoming redesign? What will @insightman think if it's a scoopless bonnet?
I'm certain MINI Marketing will keep the fake scoop, but won't complain if I'm wrong. As I've written ad nauseum, an electric car doesn't need a fake hood scoop.

Will the small-battery SE be scoopless and the large-battery SE get a scoop? I can't wait to learn the weight difference between the two.
