It took about 3 - 4 days to get my hacks/mods/accessories mostly back in place, and finally
got some meaningful road time. "Snowcap II" drives just about like the 2019 but I have to say,
the braking response feels a little smoother and "slow bottom" bringing in regen, which I
like because I'm all about fine control. That may be the result of updated firmware too.
It still handily stays off the hydraulics under any normal braking conditions [front rotor
heat test after a downhill or highway exit], so in that regard still runs rings around setups
that don't bother implementing blended braking (*cough* Tesla *cough*).

I finally feel decently road-ready again, with fresh confidence from not piloting a rolling
incendiary device.

I finally finished up the companion webpage to all this, which includes some additional
pictures from the body shop and some improved mods on the new one, plus more details
on insurance-company sleaziness. The new car's been fine so far, but I haven't really taken
it anywhere of note yet.

While I may have escaped "recall hell" by making the 2019 someone else's problem, I am
continuing to track the pack-replacement saga(s) and still have plenty of sympathy for owners
still wandering through that fog.

Looks like even a rear plate change wouldn't help much :
