Programming Homelink buttons to open my garage door

The old garage door died quickly and now I have a new one with a Chamberlain opener ( B2211T ).
Programming the remote was an easy 2-step process. Instructions on programming the button in the i3 is an endless loop of YouTube clips that don't do it.
A written step-by-step guide would be greatly appreciated.
May the WWW 'community' impart its knowledge of rolling doors and rolling codes!

Thank you.

Addendum:
I found a page on the Homelink website that gave the 3-step process for setting up a button on the mirror to open the garage door. But it seems that my BMW i3 can't walk and chew gum; now my garage door remote does not work. The LEARN button on the Chamberlain opener seems to be LEARN and FORGET.

so every time you hit the opener program button on the ceiling, it probably re-sets the code. you need to do both the remote and the car at the same time.

I don't have either of those models of car or garage opener but had a similar issue.
i had to do my keypad, the homeline, and the remote all at the same time.

need 2 people, 1 on the ladder in the garage, one in the car pushing all the buttons fast.

You need to reprogram everything together. Have one person press the Homelink button in the car while another presses the opener’s LEARN button at the exact same time.
