ECS Tuning is thinking you might like to make a fashion statement, like those who drive around with fancy tow-hooks hanging from their bumpers. (Or maybe they have an over-supply of this slow-selling item.)I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering: I only need one, right? The website seems to think I need 4...
Why are the wheels missing all the milled surfaces of the Corona spokes? Do they know that silver spray paint will leave drip marks?Talk about an SE fashion statement, I saw these used Power Spoke rims with new winter tires on the German website of WerksRaeder24, "Europe's largest supplier of original BMW & MINI wheels" for €1,999.00, VAT incl., plus shipping:

The ugliest wheels you put on any car and price and balancing trouble don’t make any sense in my opinion BMW just screwed up to try be innovative .Yeah it sure does seem odd that they'd go through the trouble of a two-tone refinish and choose not to emulate either the Iconic or Resolute Corona Spokes.
I was anticipating a secondary complaint about pin-spacing if all I did was rotate the center cap.I think it would have been easier just to rotate the center cap.
I though it would have been the missing on/off switch...but that's as strange as separate hot and cold faucets or carpeting the bathroom.I was anticipating a secondary complaint about pin-spacing if all I did was rotate the center cap.
Down to $1500 now, cheaper shipping too. Kinda still want them...Don't forget the $500 in shipping fees!
Do these get more expensive once the cars they fit on are out of production, or less?
Don't forget to order one of the Power Spoke balancing appliances, too. I wonder how many of those were made and if their prices are also falling?Down to $1500 now, cheaper shipping too. Kinda still want them...
Got that... though if I got the wheels I'd probably ask the dealer to install them. I assume the "middle cover" and center cap could be moved over.Don't forget to order one of the Power Spoke balancing appliances, too. I wonder how many of those were made and if their prices are also falling?
It's almost time for the fall Drive Electric Week EV gathering, the annual day my SE gets to wear its Power Spokes. That day is always like driving through a minefield, with every curb beckoning like the Sirens calling to Jason and the Argonauts, "Come closer, come closer."I found a set of Corona wheels in UK i might have my friend go pick up for me. £450 He has already secured a set of 16 inch wheels for my Fiat. Ill ship them back when I go end of September
lol the joys of cargo discounts. I was seriously considering flying out of Burlington down to suburban Houston* to grab that free 18" JCW wheelset a while back, then did the math on parking at BTV, hotel nights (flight timing), renting an SUV, having a local shop remove and discard the runflats, getting the rims properly packaged, getting them back to IAH, paying (discounted) cargo to BTV, then coming home and driving them back across the border (and likely being assessed taxes there)... it became a little too complicated and costly for something I didn't really need.I found a set of Corona wheels in UK i might have my friend go pick up for me. £450 He has already secured a set of 16 inch wheels for my Fiat.
