Ontario owners: how long does it take to receive the government rebate?

Alright, I'm starting to get closer!

July 26th - Application
February 1st - Email confirming that cheque will be sent.

Now waiting for the cheque to actually show up...

Question for anyone that has received their cheque: did your cheque also include the rebate for your charge and installation, or did you receive a separate cheque/EFT for that? I applied for my charger rebate on the same day but haven't receive any deposit or information about that yet.
 
Just got an email from my MPP, and it is the same cookie cutter response as V8Power got. Still waiting, but I was late July, so not anxious yet.

OMG it's like raining money in Ontario! I got my cheque in the mail today - :D
July 6 - Application
Jan 28 - email confirming approval & cheque's in the mail
Feb 5 - cheque received on Chinese New Year, sign of great year to come!
 
Application submitted on July 5th. Didn't received any email. Cheque arrived yesterday Feb 7th. Full 7 months later. Still waiting for the charge rebate. It was submitted in late July.

Congrats! I'm also waiting for my rebates for our chargers. Has anyone receive their charger rebates??
 
Car Rebate
June 28 - completed application
Jan 28 - received email
Feb 06 - received cheque in mail
Charger Rebate
July 19 - completed application
Feb 11 - money deposited in bank account. No email or other communication.
 
Car Rebate
July 31 - Completed application (they released a new form and I called and the person told me to resubmit, so I did a resubmission using new form Aug 27)
Did not receive email
Feb 12 received cheque in mail
 
Ontario Car Rebate
Took delivery of car on August 30 2018
Submitted forms for Rebate September 4 2018
Received Email informing that I will get check shortly - Feb 4 2019
Received check on feb 15 2019

Finally!

July 26th - Application

February 15th - Cheque arrives!

Still nothing about my charger rebate though - no email, and no surprise deposits into my bank account. Maybe I'll wait a couple weeks and then pester them?

I haven't received anything here :/ getting antsy.. going to try to contact them.
 
I applied on July 15. Finally recieved my cheque today. So a bit over 7 monthes wait.

I strongly advise anyone that hasn’t received their cheque to email them at [email protected]. Be sure to tell them when you applied, the email you used, the VIN, and your contact details. I emailed them last week and received a reply with “your application has been approved and cheque has been sent” two days later. Don’t bother calling them, all the times I did it went straight to voicemail. Also, the EVIP incentives have been transferred to the MTO. So don’t call the previous numbers to get ahold of them or email their previous email. Use [email protected]

This sounds like excellent advice. I hadn't yet received my rebate for the installation of my ChargePoint and the associated electrical work, so I sent an email to [email protected] as suggested by Omgswify yesterday morning. I checked my online banking this morning, and by staggering coincidence I had my received a direct deposit for the full rebate amount on the same day I sent the email! (The deposit showed up as coming from MTO-ONTTAX in case that's useful to anyone else in a similar situation).

It could just be a coincidence that my email and the deposit occurred on the same day, but if you're an Ontario resident still waiting on rebates and you haven't already done so, I would still strongly encourage you to send a follow-up email!

Now with one fewer stressor in my life, I can get back to what we should all be doing: enjoying a great car. :D

I think you're onto something... I submitted back in August and have heard nothing. I sent an email on Saturday and just got a reply this afternoon that my rebate application has been processed and will be deposited in 15-20 business days.
