Ontario EV rebate Program

Has anyone out there heard that the rebate program for EVs in Ontario will be shut down? My brother just tried to buy a Soul EV in Toronto and was advised by the salesman that he wouldn’t sell it to him if he thought he was going to get a rebate. He said this came from Kia Canada. Can anyone confirm?
