I have been there - the scenery is incredible. Bjorn recently did a drive from Oslo to North Cape (about 2000kM), and it is worth it to watch just for the scenery.
But the winters are a bear. Cold is part of it, but incredibly short days. Or days with no sunlight if you are too far north.

Yeah, but they make up for it during the summers with very, very long days. Evens out over the year, I guess. I would like to visit there some day. Know lots of people that have, and they all rave about it.
