I have to agree. Despite finding the remote-controlled environmental features really nice to have, I cannot justify $270 per year to use it. Thank you Kia for making me choose between killing the savings I have from not burning gas or using an app that other manufacturers have for free use.
 
I have the Kia Access app and it allows me to remotely access the climate, lock the doors, start the car and adjust the schedules, so it does most everything I want it to do. My dealer didn't even know about this - they told me I needed to buy the Premium to do this. I can check on my car location and battery charge status even when my car is at the airport and I'm across the country. I love this! Feels very space age to me, especially compared to my 20-year-old Subaru that it replaced. Uvo does nothing for me.
 
I tried peeling off the little drivers side window stickers this week. They all came off nicely...except for Sirius XM. Left behind adhesive, sticker tore (and it looked like parts of it the sticker left a thin layer of plastic on top of the adhesive. Great glue, but never use adhesive stronger than the material being adhered if it is meant to be removed. Annoyed at Sirius.

Other notes:
  • SCC is AWESOME in stop and go traffic. I never realized how much brain capacity goes into braking and accelerating in those conditions. Made annoying and somewhat tiring driving conditions much easier.
  • Feels like even when the lane keep assist is not green the wheel tugs a bit when going into a curve if SCC is on. I am wondering if LKA is on even when it says it doesn't.
  • Seems like also if I start to brake with the regular brake, at least at lower speeds, and THEN try to apply regen braking with the paddle, it does not kick in. Need to experiment more.
 
David T - Could you please provide a parts number for the cargo cover you have? and confirm that it works just fine? I purchased a 2019 Niro EV thru Cartelligent on Thursday and enjoying getting to know it. I looked on an official Kia website for a cargo cover but the one i found was for the 2017/2018. Part number is
G5F15-AU000

I have driven EVs for six years now, so wont have too many newbie questions.
 
I already tossed the packaging, but here is the part I asked them to throw in with the car (I asked the dealer to throw in a cargo cover, net, mat and locking lugs). The part did come from a Kia parts store and had a Kia label. The option code was for getting it with the care "CN", but there was not a part number listed. It fits fine and works. The clips on the net are made of some sort of fairly durable seeming plastic. I will look through my paper work and see if there is a part number there, but I do not think it was listed. It was a verbal agreement.
 
Thanks David T. Guess i will phone a nearby Kia dealer and ask them if they can sell me a " cargo cover" and see if that works. Happy Motoring!
 
Thanks Niro525. Only two problems. 1. the models listed dont include any EV model, so not sure if it will fit my EV. 2. This is a roll type cover, and is fairly expensive. I prefer the rigid type, and the 2018 rigid type is less than half the price of this one. Guess, i will just have to phone the dealer!
