New BMW iX1 not coming to US

Rumors has it that BMW decided to keep the new iX1 CUV for Europe, UK, and Asia; a real disappointment because this AWD EV has a market here. Local dealer wasn’t aware of the car’s existence!
Anyone can add to this rumor?

Agree to disagree on the mix. Hyundai/KIA drivers have the most hatred towards Tesla and all other EV brands.

That being said, I'd like to see BMW continue to focus on a sustainable circular economy using renewable energy.

I already have a reservation for the ‘23 Polestar 2 (ETA October), but really prefer the IONIQ 5 AWD LIMITED which is impossible to get without a huge dealer markup (refuse to pay more than MSRP).
