I think so too! Thank you! I had them custom made when it was delivered to BMW/MINI of Fort Wayne, IN. I ordered from them and they did an excellent job and the color matches perfectly with the yellow accents that came stock. Couldn't be happier with them

I have the same thing happen every once in awhile too. What I could figure is that it does that within a certain time frame of finishing charging overnight. If I drain my battery pretty low, and it finishes at 7AM, sometimes that will happen if I'm driving around that time frame. But I don't think it's consistent with that. Not sure if that would align with the timing of your noise either, but that was the only pattern I could figure, and it's hardly a pattern
 
I agree — the blacked-out Cooper S grille looks vastly better, in my opinion, and the custom stripes with their Energetic Yellow pinstripes are the perfect finishing touch!

But then, do you ever really finish making mods? :D

nope, there is never an end! with all the gas money I save, I feel like I'm obligated to buy more mods at this point

No I haven't. I gave up after receiving the wrong size markers and also the wrong size tint for the side markers from 2 different companies. They said they should have the correct size this spring. I checked for the tint recently and they still don't list it.

At least twice, I also had the experience where the car acted like I put it into Drive Ready state, but I couldn't engage Drive or Reverse, because it was actually in Radio Ready state. A second flick of the Start/Stop switch would set it right. This one happens rarely enough that I assumed I did something wrong, like not pressing the brake pedal firmly enough. <shrug>

I've found that if you open the door once you've started the car, you have to press the start lever again.

What a bummer. I sure hope new markers are available soon, those reflectors in the black fenders are going to annoy me to no end...Let me know if you come across anything!
 
where can I buy a yellow decal to apply on the charging cover? My BRG SE has the plug emblem profiled into the cover. I would like to highlight the "electric" theme.
 
I'm ready to get into the smoked lighting for my 2022, but could use some help ensuring I get the right thing.

Are these the right fog lights?

The listing says it won't fit, but they look right, and "2014+" would be me. However another seller tells me that 2022 smoked fogs don't exist. The fact that killallchrome has the tail lights but no fogs makes me wonder if they're right.

From what I understand, the rear fog lights are all the same and will work. Almost ordred those but ended up wrapping mine (se below).

Those tail lights will "work" but you will not get the amber turn signal. Actually you will not get any illumination out of that horizontal section. There is a thread going on here discussing this: https://www.minif56.com/threads/swap-us-uj-taillights-on-us-f56-2019-to-uk-euro-spec.91120/

Also, those are about $100 more than other ones you can find online. Just check Amazon.

Regarding the side markers, I too was very disappointed. I took a stab at using smoked vinyl tint and gotta say I impressed myself with how well it came out. Check out the photos in this thread (post 14 and 15) for side markers and rear fog lights.

I see @Tifosi and his sweet ride in that thread too!

This is all very discouraging, if it's not plug-and-play I'm not sure I'm brave enough to do it.

And your wraps look great, but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to as good a job.

They're so good you could just wrap the taillights instead of replacing them? Or does that kill the brightness?
 
Yup yup, he was the inspiration for so many early on with SE's.

And the tail lights are plug and play, just not the horizontal amber section. They'll function as stock, but only the vertical portion will act as your brake and flasher, and the horizontal section will do nothing (for now). Mine just arrived today so I'm going to attempt some coding as well. If not then it's down to figuring out if it's a wire needing moved, or possibly adding a wire from the BCM.

News about the horizontal amber section not working as turn signal is a bummer. I was planning on getting a set once my SE arrives.

Would you be able to demo the lights as they work stock in a video or something?
