You would still have to get an E-NET cable (OBD II to RJ45 ethernet) and a Windows based laptop with E-Sys + Data files before a remote coder could do enable the 5AR Traffic Jam Assist.Maaii in Taiwan just posted something very, very cool at the UK forum. I see the kit is listed on Bimmer8’s eBay page at US$149 shipped from Taiwan; I wonder how much a remote coder would charge to activate it, or if anyone knows a local (maybe a BMW CCA member?) who could help.
I think the 5AR is VO Coding (Vehicle Order..kind of like basic BimmerCode) and not FDL (Function Data List like expert mode BimmerCode) so it's theoretically much easier.
