Many YouTubers posted this BMW video of the i3 factory in Munich, Germany, but this one added a voice-over with additional information.
In the 1960s, Michigan youths could get summer jobs working in local automotive factories. I built Lincoln Continentals and Thunderbirds at Ford's plant (long since demolished) in Wixom, Michigan. There were no robots back then and the factories were dark and dingy compared to this amazing BMW factory. You knew a car was intended for a VIP when it came down the line with paper covering the painted surfaces to prevent us from scratching them. The cars for Ford execs were built by a single guy. He would visit different parts of the factory and take parts back to his special assembly room where he would create hand-built Lincoln Continentals.
