Can you show us how you've secured your donut spare in the boot? Thanks.Got myself a donut spare for my SE and I am looking for a portable mobile jack kit.
Does anyone know if any of those older mini mobility jack kit (jack, wrench, and etc in a pouch) work?
Thanks in advance

Having the spare will ensure your range if you get a flat, but having it on your roof will hurt your range in the long run. Will you carry it on your roof all the time or just for long trips?I am securing it on my roof cage/platform like the countryman rally car.

My first R55 Clubman came with a jack kit and I used it multiple times, works really well. Not sure if the extra weight of the SE would make it a bit difficult to crank the jack, though. The handle is pretty short.Does anyone know if any of those older mini mobility jack kit (jack, wrench, and etc in a pouch) work?
A wheel on your roof will be a lot of drag. Boot mounting would be no drag difference. I don't know if there is space underneath. Where did the donor car mount it?

Mercedes folding spare. 165/70-16. It will bolt on. There may be a lower profile folding tyre for a different brand.
Rooftop wouldn't work too well with my sunroof...Just mounted on my roof cage today and drove my usual routes. I didn't see any loss in range as I was still getting 4.8 miles/kWh to 5 miles/kwh
