Your preference for Android auto and Google spyware is a personal problem ;) I have zero issues with carplay, it just works. If you are going to advertise an Android Box you should get the story straight and not embellish, but thats marketing. My sister has android auto and hates it, nothing but issues.

Otherwise, as mentioned earlier in the thread, Mini Connected gets you the following: It has nothing to do with CarPlay or the app functions.

Welp, was just trying to help Android users who want updated maps without paying the $100 a year to get it.

I'm also in the anti-iphone camp, but I'm not here to argue about it.

I think I'm the one who originally posted the link to the Android auto device here, too.

I need to order this device. Thanks for the reminder and review.

I highly suggest ordering this device. Oddly I ran into it on an EV Reddit group with a few legit reviews over the summer and I just held on to that info for a while. I had it on a wish list for my birthday and I got it. I really wish I had jumped on it much earlier. Honestly I wish it had been something I knew before I purchased an iPhone last year.

I am not here to debate about phones either. People have their own opinions and as an IT person I always say you got to use what you like. I just will say I am pleased with this and it doesn't load any slower than my car play did and it allows me to use my main cell phone line the way that I used to.

And honestly I think it was pretty obvious in my previous post the reason why I talked about it here is because we no longer get updated maps so we have to either pay for it through BMW or we use our phones. Apparently I didn't make that abundantly clear to everyone.
