Most disk brakes will develop surface rust if not used. My buddy had same problem on his Telsa. The solution was to turn off regen and the brake pads will clean the rust off the rotors. It only took a few stops. Then turn regen back on. That solved the problem for him. It's probably not a bad idea to "exercise the calipers" so they don't stick.

Yeah, I had this problem too for a while. It clears itself out after a bit so I just ignore it now when it recurs.

I am Not sure if we can turn regen off completely, I think we only have control over how much regen kicks in when we let up on the accelerator. That said, braking hard so that the ABS kicks in will be applying regular braking

I checked, does not seem to be regen in reverse... I'm more interested in the rear brakes. I know the front ones get exercised under about 7 mph

I like the idea of putting in neutral on a hill and coasting down on the brakes to clean 'em off. I assume that would engage the rear brakes. Don't all 4 brakes engage when the pressure in the master cylinder goes up?
