Mercedes-Benz EQC gets a pre-reveal test drive

The production version of the Mercedes-Benz EQC will be revealed in September, but Fully Charged had the opportunity to go for a nice ride and chat up the engineer in charge of the program.

The video is below, but here are some of the technical high points:
  • 0 to 62 (100 kph) in about 5 seconds. (I expect in the end it will be under 5)
  • 300 kW (402 horsepower)
  • all wheel drive using a motor for the front and rear axles
  • 70 kWh battery which may weigh 1,433 lbs (this seems pretty heavy, and may include some sub-systems)
  • Range is given as 310 miles, but expect EPA to range to be closer to 250 miles
