Mega Thread for Tesla Investors

Welcome to the Tesla sale-athon! $7000 autopilot (whatever that is; some call it auto crash) is given away free with every Model 3 purchase in China for the "Chinese new year" sale!

Off the hook demand folks. Easily can sell 500k of these in 2019!
Tesla just can't make these fast enough.

Wow, TeslaInvestors is carpet-bombing the thread with his FUD today. Wonder why he's so desperate lately? Just how fast is he losing money on his "short" investment?

Obviously Tesla won't be able to make 500,000 Model 3's this year, since they only have a single auto assembly plant and that's nearly maxed out. I think at this point the only way they can increase production at the Fremont plant is incremental improvements due to increased automation. See the new video showing tires and wheels being installed by a robot arm.

500 thousand, some bulls claiming a million, reservations are all gone! Pff!
Mostly just converting the Model S owners to Model 3 owners.
By just upgrading the same customer's car multiple times, using the $7500 tax credit to offset Tesla's losses when they literally gave away new cars for slightly old leased vehicles. Supposedly this tax scheme of the century saved the planet.

It was all the talk back in 2016. Now not a peep.
The non-existent $35000 miracle car with looong range? Nowhere.
I think there is a name for such things. Something beginning with 's' or 'f'.
The real question is, how and why FTC allows such things in a country like USA.

And now .. the big bomb shell from Reuters. A definitive proof that Tesla itself thinks, demand in US has evaporated for the near future.
It laid off more than half of delivery agents. Who needs them when shareholders are there to work for free to keep the lights on?;)
I will like to see a plot of the fallen Ford Model T vs. Tesla Model 3 ramp up a few months later. No, not the "projected" one. This one will be the real numbers vs. real numbers.

Exclusive: Tesla's delivery team gutted in recent job cuts - sources
Some 150 employees out of a team of about 230 were let go in January at the Las Vegas facility that gets tens of thousands of Model 3s into the hands of U.S. and Canadian buyers
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-tesla-demand-exclusive-idUSKCN1PY00J

Reuters is doing a fine job today dismantling this thing.

PS: This is a silver lining of the otherwise dark story of layoffs. Inside stories and facts start coming out much more freely, with no fear of the oppressive management.

500 thousand. . .

"Bitter, table for one."
  • ~53 days - we'll have the Tesla Q1-2019 production numbers
  • ~83 days - we'll have the Tesla Q1-2019 financial numbers
  • ~326 days - Federal Tax Credits expire and another Tesla car price cut

TeslaInvestors said "Tesla has been calling MOdel 3 res holders for years, lying to them that fed tax credit will expire before they can get their MOdel 3."

Is it just me, or do incorrigable liars have a tendency to call others liars where it's entirely undeserved?
o_O
Hey Pushy! Read the Reuters article! You will hear the same thing from the ex-employees. So, yes, it's definitely just you. Still in delusion. Still defending the church of Satan.
“We sold through just about every car we had on the ground and we called almost every being on the planet who had ever expressed desire to own a Tesla to let them know the tax credit was expiring,” said the other ex-employee.

It's good that you're so reliable; 100% wrong in very nearly everything you say about Tesla.

Plenty of reservations left even in the USA, from those still waiting for the Standard Range Model 3. And of course those reservations in Europe and China are only now just starting to get converted to orders.

Reservations in right-hand-drive countries will have to wait even longer.

That's really weird, how sensitive Elon is to these facts pouring out. Must have called the editors right away, trying to choke the news.
It was abundantly clear that North American reservation is what was implied.
But it confirmed, that Tesla/Elon doesn't deny that North American res queue is plucked clean.
Good to know. That's where 80% of Model 3 market is. 50% of that is California.

Speaking of California, rain is coming pouring and the California Model 3 owners are realizing what a POS the car is without a working wiper stalk. Rain.. who would've thought about such things!
Now I think some of you understand my ecstasy above, getting into my "Elon mode" of talking:), when I discovered a fully functional rain wiper stalk (on top of sensor based, functional rain sensing wipers) in my Clarity FCV. :D A camera based rain detector for the dark nights? Genius idea. /s
Tesla better start selling some manual, long handle windshield wipers in their Amazon store, so at least the Model 3 drivers can stick their left hand out through the window and clean it themselves :)

Here is a story right there on innovation gone awry.

What, the one that was withdrawn?
..
It's okay, dude. Nobody expects a compulsive liar to admit he's wrong... especially when he's very nearly always wrong.
Oh yes, dude. ;) If I was talking to anyone close to a gentleman, the three crows I have ready to go would've been gone by now. ;)

The video is taken down for a clarification. Article is still standing strong. Elon must be twisting and turning in agony, figuring out how to take that down too.

And.. The video is back too.
Don't know what you 2 are talking about. Did @bwilson4web just make up that fake picture of the video being taken down? :) LOL. The length you folks go to distract people from the truths.

That is weird, my browser still shows one of the two Reuters videos is still down:
  • "Michelle Hennessy" video reports Tesla polled the reservation list for customers who would buy the $42,900-$44,000 priced, midrange Model 3 or better. She reports the ones who could afford the equal or higher priced, medium and premium performance have bought their Model 3. Those remaining on the list are waiting for a lower priced (and performance) Model 3.
  • "Jane Lanhee Lee" video report still shows the "withdrawn" banner and there was not enough in the short description to understand the claim. At least one comment suggests they are waiting for a cheaper Model 3.
So near as I can tell there is a reservation list of customers who want a Model 3 for less than $42,900. As Tesla continues to improve their manufacturing efficiencies and reduce price (and performance,) there will come a day of 'buy or bye bye.' In the meanwhile, Europe and Asia have premium Model 3 customers waiting.

Both links have the video now. Try refreshing your browner window. :) Gee, you wish it wasn't true and Elon really did succeed in bullying her employer to take it down . :( Like he bought the scumbags at NHTSA.

There may be a few people who were waiting for a $35k Model 3 withh full $75-- tax credit. The short range can be really not suitable for many, if you consider the rain and cold weather use.
But don't forget the tens of thousands of scalpers who were lured by the hype. I have seen thousands of those "buy my res for $1000-$300" last year.
Those folks must be really disappointed, locking their money for 2 years for nothing. Let's hope they get their refunds before something worse happens to their $1000.

Another missive from Earth-2, where you live?

Here on Earth-1, editors for large news organizations don't retract articles just because the CEO of a popular company calls them up and complains.

And Great Flying Spaghetti Monster! ...you're showing desperation the past few days. Is there another short squeeze going on? Perhaps I should show some sympathy for all the money you're losing by betting on Tesla to fail. But given your carpet bombing of this thread will all your outright raw FUD... I think I'll pass.

If I was talking to anyone close to a gentleman...

Looks very much like you've completely lost sight of what it means to be a gentleman, just like you've lost sight of the value of truth and honesty.

BTW, just how long has it been since you said anything about Tesla or its cars which was actually true? It's been awhile.

thedrive.com reveals NHTSA in bed with Elon's billions. It always looked very suspicious how they just shoved the Autopilot crash under the rug right on the last day of Obama administration. Another shameful moment for the country that brags of lawfulness.

http://www.thedrive.com/tech/26455/nhtsas-flawed-autopilot-safety-study-unmasked

This raises a fundamental question that NHTSA must answer: why was it more concerned about competitive harm to Tesla than it was about transparency to the public whose taxes provide its budget, and whom it ostensibly serves? Without addressing that question, we will never know whether NHTSA was simply incompetent in this instance, or if it (or one or more of its staffers) actually colluded with Tesla to present misleading data about Autopilot safety.

Gosh, how terrible that Tesla cars are getting a well-deserved reputation for saving cars and saving lives from traffic accidents, as is now being shown in an increasing number of YouTube videos. Terrible for the anti-Tesla pravduh dispensers, anyway!

Sorry to see you have now stooped so low that you're promoting outright made-up conspiracy theories, Mr. Fake Tesla Investor.
