Map update?

Has anyone figured out how to update the map database? It seems like most BMW systems can be updated from a USB but I can't find any info on where to get the update file (or if there even is a newer version).

I can't even set my "home" location right now because the car thinks it doesn't exist... The road is there but the closest street number is half a mile away and I don't think you can set your home location at a dropped pin.

Map updates happen automatically over-the-air. I've confirmed this with ASK MINI and have received a number of updates. I documented all I could discover about software updates in the Software Updates thread.

Thanks! I asked my dealer when I picked up the car but they weren't helpful at all. At least Ask MINI seems like a good resource.
