Like AIAI I also insisted on EV plates and no dealer branding on the trunk lid. The dealership accommodated both but told me it would be $50 for the "vanity plate." I expected that but when the deal was done the EV plates were provided for free, which is correct for MA but I wasn't aware until after the fact. Clearly this dealership wasn't aware of it either, maybe I was the first to ask. Although a good idea, I know EV plates aren't required in MA to alert first responders that the car has high voltage batteries. I have 3 friends with Chevy Volts who have ordinary plates.
