More lies by the fake news. Trump never said the corona virus is a hoax. What he did say is that the criticism of his administration's handling of covid was another hoax perpetuated by the Dems just like the Russian hoax.
And as for misleading the public, on the contrary he acted immediately with blocking travel from China and then other countries when Dems, media and even some experts (WHO) were saying it was not a danger. What he said to Bob Woodward was that his personal belief (he has very good instincts) that the virus was more deadly than others at that time were saying. But at that time, he didn't want to panic the country (very smart move) and instead took action incl setting up a task force with medical scientists and experts to get prepared. At that time it was still very early, and it was not certain how the virus and spread would affect the US. But he wasn't taking any chances. Meanwhile notable Dems incl Nancy and the New York pair were still advocating for people to continue meeting in public venues like restaurants and bars, as if nothing was happening. Biden actually criticized Trump for that early action (which he not too long ago recanted). Even Fauci said when this Bob Woodward thing came out, that he never recalled Trump downplaying or holding back actions they recommended, incl shutting the economy down later in March and going forward.
Trump himself has explained this all very clearly the last week. Yet the fake media won't quit with their lies and misrepresentations of what actually happened. All very dirt politics.... But to be expected from the Dems and their media partners. And of course their gullible followers will dutifully spread their fake news.

Don't know what audio or vid you listened to, but I heard it from Trump himself what he said. And it is very different from that fake news youtube you just showed. Again, just goes to show how the TDSers will believe anything that suits their narrative. And don't care to hear directly from the horse's mouth. Like Bob here, they are very happy just to swallow what the fake news says' and be told how to think.

About COVID-19, the Bob Woodward recordings, the Trump press releases, and his public statements are enough. By the end of this week, we'll see ~200,000 dead and schools including colleges will have become (many already known) COVID-19 hotspots. For example, bars were shutdown two weeks in Tuscaloosa due to the absence of COVID-19 practices with many students claiming it is a hoax.

I do find it amazing (and ridiculous), though, how desperate the Dems are, digging up crap from Jan/Feb to peddle more fake news. All the previous Dem hoaxes failed, so what makes them think this will win the election for them?? All the American public is not that stupid, and I see the polls are gradually tightening.
And we haven't even got to the debates yet. I still say Biden will find a way to cancel out of them. He, or more importantly his handlers, know that he will be a disaster. He gets lost in mid sentence sometimes, and needs a teleprompter to answer scripted interviewer questions. Does America really want a senile puppet for their President?

Trump frequently speaks in the manner of: "A lot of people are saying...", "They tell me...", etc. This is how he called COVID-19 a hoax. In this case Trump said someone told him that: “They tried the impeachment hoax. ... And this is their new hoax.” The connotation is clear. Trump associated the COVID-19 pandemic with being a hoax generated by his political opponents. Trump's complete dishonesty and ignorance is finally getting through to more Americans. The recent Town hall hosted by ABC News demonstrated that Donald thinks he can just keep lying. Remember when in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 that Donald promised to release his tax returns? In 2020, he instead fought their release to the U.S. House and a N.Y. prosecutor all the way to the Supreme Court.
