Looking for real-world EV charging data from U.S. drivers — $5 gift card for contributors

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a small project called GearUp Insights, where I'm trying to collect real-world EV charging costs from actual drivers in the U.S.

There are plenty of articles about average charging prices, but I wanted to see what people are really paying at different charging networks, locations, and times.

I'm starting with actual charging sessions rather than estimates. The dataset is still very small, so I'm hoping some of you might be willing to help build it.

If you have a recent charging receipt or a screenshot from your charging app, you can submit details such as the network, energy delivered (kWh), charging time, and total cost.

The project is free to use and contribute to.

A small thank-you for contributors:

  • Our first 10 verified contributors across the project receive a $5 Amazon.com eGift Card each, one per person.
  • Separately, one of the first 10 verified InsideEVs Forum contributors will be randomly selected to receive an additional $5 Amazon.com eGift Card. This forum-specific award is guaranteed.
If you're contributing from this forum, please enter "InsideEVs Forum" in the optional "How did you hear about GearUp Insights?" field so I can identify your submission.

You can see the project here:

Submit a charging session here:

Please remove unnecessary personal information from screenshots before uploading.

Thanks to @brianc35 for allowing me to share this with the community.

I'm also interested in hearing what charging costs you've been seeing lately, even if you don't have a receipt to submit.

Thanks for reading!

Sorry, more than 300 kWh:

Ps. Would you prefer free charging at my pharmacy?
