I personally, am glad for any recall, because recalls are NHTSA’s way of ensuring automotive safety.

Genuine question: Do car companies directly notify of recalls these days? I know Honda was really aggressive about getting me to take my old Acura in to get the airbag replaced, even though it was old and I was the fourth owner, but that could have been a special case because it was such a severe problem.
