What are these plugs I keep reading about and how to check them?

If you don't have the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) document yet, you absolutely need to download it now. Here's a post from @KentuckyKen where he provides the PDI document.

The four rubber plugs that came in a bag with your Clarity from Honda go into 4 oval holes in the underbody. The holes were used to secure the car during shipment. The PDI document shows where they belong. If your dealer didn't install them, tell your dealer to get them and install them or give them to you so you can install them.

Don't be in a hurry to get them. They ship from China (iirc) by way of a dingy rowed by a 103 year old. Easy to apply and stops the scuffing.

BTW, ordered January 3rd. Received February 5th.

Is it possible to install these without the wiring? I’m really only interested in the sills and don’t care about the lighted portion.

Shouldn't be a problem. You may have to trim the wire depending on whether or not it is a permanent connection at the sill plate.
