I had to get my passenger mirror replaced, but the shop could not "calibrate" it for me. I've printed the template (on my home laser printer, full-size one page letter paper, compared to the 48x36 I think the factory template is). I can get to the menu to try to "calibrate" it, but it just keeps saying "failed", and now the tablet screen is just permanently stuck on that red screen, I can't see my Android Auto maps or anything anymore (even after turning off an on the car). Help?

How often do you use it? I never used lanewatch, I disabled its automatic activation and never used the button on the stalk. The camera could (and might already be) dead and I wouldn't notice.

Have you tried temporarily disconnecting your 12-Volt battery in the hopes of a reset?

It's apparently on some hidden timer. I went out to try the aiming again later and the screen had gone back to normal. Really annoying that it effectively "bricks" the thing (just the red "aiming failed" screen, no buttons work) for however long that timer lasts, though

I reaim by one time, just to play with it :D . I printed it on a 8.5x11 paper, taped it on a cardboard and placed it next to the car. It is very picky on where you place it. It can't be too close to the body of the car and can't be too far from the side of the car.
You just need to keep trying. Once it accept the side to side placement, then you can move the 6 dots forward or backward to adjust the safety marking in the display.

BTW, if you are doing it on 8x11 or 8x14 paper, then you will putting it a lot closer than whats in the above video. The 3 rows of dots tells the head unit where the green/yellow/red zones should be. A big sign like the video will requires more distance between camera and sign, whereas a piece of printer paper will be closer.

What reason did the dealer give for not calibrating the camera? Did they attempt it?

This video seem thorough on how to do one. Not sure if the software / tablet used was required...

You're having an issue with the calibration and screen. Try resetting the tablet or infotainment system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes or looking for a system reset option in your settings. If that doesn’t work, contacting the dealership or a professional for help might be necessary. Writing the results section of a dissertation requires precision and clarity, and I was struggling with it. I turned to https://academized.com/dissertation-results-help academized, and they exceeded my expectations. The writer presented my findings logically and supported them with appropriate visuals and explanations. The attention to detail and adherence to my guidelines were impressive. The paper was delivered on time and met all academic standards. I’m very pleased with their service and highly recommend them.

Thanks for the video.
