well I just learned something new... I had no clue that wireless carplay was something only a few manufacturers were offering

I drive a 2019 440xi so my car has it....

the Kona EV would be a second car at home and I would use it to go around town and park in EV spots, that's why Waze is my go to

1. Cops
2. Traffic/construction around Montreal can be a hit and miss

Anyways I found this dongle, I'll buy it when the Kona arrives.... I'll let you guys know how it goes

Have you seen a similar one for Android Auto that works with the Kona?

i just looked and i'm not finding anything

which is weird since Android is usually a much easier software than iOS for anyone to build apps/workarounds for

I found this carlinkit but that's for android head units,no go for the Kona

mind you even the one I posted I don't know first hand but there's lots of reviews on it online

Was using the nav today and later tried to cancel the route. But I couldn't figure out how to do it. Didn't see any cancel button. Only way I could stop it, is by pressing the pause button. I am sure I have done this before, unless I am thinking about my other ICE car. Has something changed with the latest nav software update? I did it recently.

If you press the Nav button again, it should give you the cancel route

I got that carplay2 adapter (it was a b-day gift) and works very well.. a bit slow to connect as it has to disconnect the Bluetooth straight from the phone, etc. I don’t use it all the time as I rather use the kona nav (I got very limited data on my work phone) and the biggest thing I found with apple CarPlay, it won’t add the directions in the HUD! So I found it more distracting..

Works well. I don't use it all the time but have it plugged in most of the time. Does take a moment or 2 longer to connect and be ready but I usually start driving and it's up by the time I leave the yard, parking lot, etc. Main reason for not using it as primary is that I like the map being full screen and nav directions on HUD. Just personal preference. It's nice to have though, without having to mess with USB cable.
