I finally took the opportunity to try to use a V2L Adapter on my 2024 Hyundai Kona SEL. I borrowed the Adapter from a friend who has one that was included with his leased 2024 Kia EV6. Following the same steps my friend uses to activate the V2L adapter on his Kia, I tried it on my Kona and it DID NOT work. There is no 'click' and No LED comes ON when pressing the button on the V2L adapter and no AC power at the outlet. Oh Well...
If your Kona has an AC electric outlet in the rear console in front of the back seats then it has V2L available.
I used mine for the first time a few weeks ago using the included V2L adapter plugged into the charge point. It took several attemps to get it working and I had to consult the manual to get the sequence correct, but then it worked fine.
In your case, assuming you have the electric socket as in para 1, I would suggest either the adapter you used does not suit the Kona or you got the start up sequence wrong.
