Hello everyone, i have a big problem, my Kona 2019 keeps turning off after I plugged it in,.
When i connect the charger, it changes to green as it always does when charging but after a few seconds it shuts off and the red light around the charging port starts blinking,. The message I received on my car is "" check vehicle charging system ". I was told that the problem is the ONBOARD CHARGER PORT.
Does anyone have any idea?

The same,

The dealership has told me that the OBC is faulty.
It will cost me 4800 to fix it, this will include parts, labor and taxes.
I read that there was a big OBC problem in Europe and some here in Canada with Kona electric

That was pertaining to the 3-phase version of the OBC and you don't have that in Canada. Reports of the single-phase OBC failing have been extremely rare, but a spike on the mains might do it, in which case the supplying utility company might be liable.
Do you have consumer protection laws that might cover the expectation of a reasonable product lifetime? That's what would cover us when out of warranty in NZ and AUS, which many of us are.

Which or both?

The dealership says that because my car has passed the km limit my warranty is expired therefore, I'm screwed, I'm thinking of calling Hyundai Canada and talk to them, i don't know if this part OBC has a lifetime warranty, if that is the case good
