J 1772 V2L/Vehicle-to Load as SE is not compatible

As today I have first time outage of power since 2012 Hurricane Sandy in NY. I researched SE if I can use to power something in my house from my lovely SE answer NO a car have no such future .2 pictures will show what is all about .And my solar system 5.5 kW is useless without batteries back up

That's not good to find out when you need it. We lose power a lot here, small town. sometimes takes a few days to get it back after a widespread outage from a big storm. That's what turned me on the the f150 lightning when it was first marketed. Then the dealers all tacked on 20k to msrp so i walked away and got a gas job v8. Our backup plan is our camper. it's in the driveway and the frige runs on propane. i've used it about 20 days so far and it's still 3/4 full on this tank. Should last a long time to save our core food and give us a 'pot' to use for a bit if necessary. The generator can run the a/c too, but we haven't really had to use it..... and don't want to. In my future, we're going to upgrade the battery bank to Lifepo4 and get a few hundred more a/h's in there to run things. I have a 200w solar brief case which keeps the lead acid topped off for our limited use (mostly running the water pump).

I look forward to a better option to get a truck and a home batter backup in one soon. The Sierra EV is just too much money for me to justify right now.

On InsideEVs' Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid forum, a few owners have described using a 12-Volt inverter to power a few appliances in emergencies. The catch is the Clarity has to be left "On" so its traction battery will continue recharging the 12V battery as the inverter drains the 12V battery's power. You'd want to park a car behind your "running" Clarity to prevent it from being stolen.

I'd guess the MINI Cooper SE also charges its 12V battery from its traction battery only when the car is powered up.

My wife and I always schedule our outings so both of us can take the MINI. Meanwhile, our poor 2018 Clarity sits unused in the garage, waiting for us to take a rare 100+ mile excursion. Because I often forget to turn the Clarity on for a half-hour every few weeks, the battery goes dead and I have to hook up my old 12V battery charger to get it going again.
 
I'm in the solar + whole home battery backup camp because of the 30% tax credit and utility cost savings. If you want a more budget friendly option, then you can opt for a solar generator with 240V generator 30A output.
 
If I only had to think about short term outages, I may think about that route. But here, one wants to keep the house above freezing when its 10 degrees F outside.

Now days we rarely we loose power and when we do its days to a week+ without. So I just purchased a small Honda camp style portable generator decades ago, and pull it out of the shed maybe once a year or so and plug it into the isolation switch box. Line workers don't like you sending power out to the grid. It has enough capacity to power up the Kitchen, Laundry, furnace, AC and a few lights during extended power outages. Relatively quiet, never has failed me. That reminds me i need to change its oil. It also covers short term hour outages. Come to think of it, since I purchased it we loose power much less often... hmmm... :)

I own solar for 10 years as in Staten Island NY I’m not loosing grid power last time 1 1/2 hour 2 days ago in last 13 years and my battery pack if I install in 2015 will be dead after 10 years as my system is already old working flawlessly still not planing to put battery back up yet and not paying for i3 /SE charging . Bill is $20 for meter .As DIY guy I install 100 Watts separate solar panel with solar charge controller 2 AMG 12 v batteries 35Ah each to run 24/7 fans in my sunroom 4 /5” and 18” roof fan . Is south exposure i really can’t lower a temperature but as a smoker I remove an air from room to make my wife happy .Also my 300 gallons jacuzzi keep room hot as temperature in it is 90” through a summer but help in winter as temperatures stay in a room in45’ with a coldest days of winter .Double pan windows around with 3 sliding doors and my artistic paint on glass to make my paradise size of a room 25’by 8’ and 9’ tall .Thats what I like a best about solar .

Umm only a handful of EV's do V2L... The Mini SE is pretty old in terms of Tech as well so not sure why you expected it
