After the obligatory photos, we descend back down the 4,000’ towards home, picking up just over 20 EV miles on the way down (11 to 33). My assumption was that next drive our EV range might suffer, what with the long climb and all not quite being canceled by the descent miles gained.
That’s a ~100 mile round trip. What portions were in HV and which were in EV?
Going uphill in HV and downhill in EV can yield some spectacular EV range estimates. My highest to date is 102 miles. It was actually 80 after the downhill section, yet the battery gauge did not show full. After charging the display showed the 102 figure.
