Is my Grizzl-E dead???

Yeah, I'd say it was good for it to die right at the end of the 3 year warranty. Now I have an updated, like new unit. The replacement box seems new. The business charge cable had some scuffs and dirt, so may have been used or refurbed.

I have it plugged into a 30A outlet, so the unit is set to 24A max. When it was charging at full speed, it was showing something like 24.8A.

That's good to hear. I'm still on the "nah" side of the fence (deciding to pay for the upgrade, plus shipping to and from Toronto). Might be cheaper overall for me to sell mine and buy the Smart 2.0 brand new.

Alex at United Chargers is working out a price for me to do the not-free (ie pre-October '22) upgrade. The two-way shipping charge is not outrageous (CA$39.36, or ~US$29), but I mentioned to him I was unimpressed that the upgrade charge is cheaper in the States (US$100, but CA$150 up here, where they are actually located). He said he will have an invoice ready for me later today with the total and I can make up my mind then.

I sent my "Smart" to Grizzl-e HQ just outside Toronto by Purolator courier on Thursday and tracking showed they received it Friday after lunch. I just checked the prepaid return tracking number and it says it was shipped yesterday afternoon and is already at a local postal sort facility for delivery later today or tomorrow. That's quick. Do you think they rebuilt mine with the new board? Or just swapped mine for a v2.0?

Update: it was delivered at 2:20 pm EDT and is already installed and connected to the new app. It appears to be a brand-new unit, as it has new cables (with the "upgraded" latch on the J plug), and a new label with new model and serial numbers.

Update to the update. I think it's a Franken-refurb; it's a v1.5 cable and J-plug, but after watching Tom's review of the 2.0 from late last year, I can confirm this one doesn't have the ITT plug or the thinner cable. The label shows a manufacturing date of last Friday, so I guess it gets a new serial number and label when it's built.
