Ioniq battery replacement question

I have a 2023 Ioniq 6 with the original 12 VDC battery installed. It's getting long in the tooth, and I don't want to get stranded somewhere when it dies. Is it prudent with these EVs to take the car to a battery shop and have the battery tested and replaced before it fails?
 
Yes.

The “Murphy’s” 12V batteries last about one month beyond their warranty. My experience is 3-4 years and once you see any symptoms, replace. It is not that hard:
  • WARNING - accidentally reverse polarity has “bricked” past Prius. It “cooks” the control circuits instantly. So follow the replacement steps VERY carefully.
  • Excellent first DYI project!
