HVAC fan without heat or AC

I saw someone make reference to a way of setting the HVAC system for just fresh air, without AC or heat. But I haven't been able to find a search hit on any prior discussion of how to do that. I'd really like to not accidentally waste battery energy heating the car on cool summer mornings - which is more likely since I keep the setting for AC pretty high, around 78-80.

Is there an easier method than setting the temperature to "Lo", AC off, and manual fan speed? That's a lot of fiddling, and it's annoying to have to spin the temp dial through 20 degrees to get back to the temp I want when cooling.

Not that I know of. That's exactly what I want most mornings -- fresh air, no AC, and definitely no expensive electric heat blasting me as I depart the driveway in perfect 60+ degree weather. Requires spinning the dial, pressing the "climate" button (which I can't do while reversing, of course), waiting waiting waiting, then looking at the onscreen AC buttons to hit "Off". I just leave the fan control on manual always, because I also detest having it randomly ramp up and down.

The lack of volume control doesn't bother me at all now, and spinning the temperature isn't that bad, but the lack of a physical "AC" button is a huge inconvenience to me that I wish there was a fix for. Even a separate "heat" vs "cool" temperature setting would help; does anyone really need heat when it's already 60+ in the car??? Maybe a "Heat" button to make sure it only comes on when I explicitly want it to in the winter.

Oh, and don't forget to turn the AC on before leaving the car when you get to work, otherwise the remote climate control doesn't cool the car in the afternoon; it just blasts the fan uselessly circulating the hot air. That's a bug in my mind.
 
There's a thread about it but I didn't found it. The way you can do that is the following:
1. Move the temp dial to LO
2. Press climate button and manually turn off the AC. (Be sure to hit off, no matter nothing appear highlighted).
3. control the fan speed.
4. Turn off air recirculation.

That way you will have outside fresh air. Remember to turn manually turn off the AC everytime you turn off and on the car and you want fresh air with no AC.

If you hit auto mode remember to set the temp again to the "normal temp"
