How to clean inside of rear window

You may want to consider something along this line. Some brands have a telescoping wand and different shaped heads etc but does the trick.
Works better than the wooden ruler with paper towel wrapped around it...lol

I know this is an older post but I thought this would be useful .
What I do is this. I lay out a old bed sheet on the frt or rear dash area to chatch all the run off window cleaner, next i spray the windows realy well with a quality window cleaner (one with ammonia works best) then I use a small squeegee to remove the glass cleaner, finally I finish up with a quick wipe of the window with a microfiber cloth. Windows come out perfect with little effort .Hope this helps.

I've had one of those for several years and three cars. It works fine for both windshield and rear window.

Steer clear from ammonia-based windshield cleaners. They do more harm than good. Ammonia is a compound that can hurt the integrity of your windshield. It is especially damaging for tinted windshields.

Wipe the windshield down with a clean, dry microfiber cloth to remove any dirt. Use another cloth to apply a bit of rubbing alcohol in order to remove any grease from the glass. Spray your glass cleaner on the other side of your microfiber cloth (not on the windshield). Then, wipe the glass in a circular motion.

I just took one of those telescoping Swiffer wands and sewed a microfiber cloth onto it instead (I used command strips, but you can also use an elastic band I think). As for the cleaning agents, I generally lead with a surfactant (or isopropyl), then seal/condition, then end with wax/protectant.
