Hitch for bike rack on Kona EV

I have a 2023 Kona EV and want to put a 1 1/4 inch hitch on to accommodate a Thule bike rack.

Has anyone put a hitch on a Kona EV? If so - any feedback on types, configuration etc…

The concern raised by one rack dealer was the proximity of the battery to where the hitch would be mounted.

I just installed a 2" trailer hitch on my 2021
DrawTite DT52GR
Install is doable solo but would be a lot easier with a second person.
Mods to the bumper trim and bumper splash shield are required but are simple and easy.
