Hanger for level 1 charging cable

What do you use to support the control box on the cable to prevent the weight from straining the cord?

Also what do you use store the cord on the wall when you are not charging?

I need something that doesn’t stick out too far as my carport is quite narrow.

I just use a heavy duty extension cord so the box lays on the ground. That makes it easy to bring and use it at work as well.

I use a garden hose hanger along with HD extension cord that connects to the portable EVSE. The control box sits on the coiled cord, the garden house hanger is securely mounted to the wall and is able to support the weight no problem. My motto:KISS.

that exactly what I'm looking for. do you have any info re: where to get it etc? thanks!
Here's my setup. Carport is EXTREMELY narrow and in winter the floor will be covered with salt water and snow. The control box is gentley screwed in to the wall and the cords are hung with regular garage door utility hooks from home depot. The extension cord is century wire and cable 12ga.1528928162448.webp

Here’s my simple setup. (Excuse the messy garage.) The controller box is attached to the rack and I 3-D printed the red holder for the plug. A similar plug holder is available for purchase on Amazon.

Looks like you have it plugged into a Kill-a-watt or similar device. I've read stories of those devices melting down because they are not built for continuous duty high amperage.

Back in 8th grade metal shop, we'd crank out QUALITY metal hose hangers for less than $1 a unit. LOFL

Yes, it is a Kill-a-watt device that I am plugged into. I have been using it continually since February to record usage. So far it has been barely warm in continuous (<12 hour) use.
