Green mode on startup

Perhaps a software setting that can be adjusted by your dealer if they have a programming/test set... not sure...
 
Ahhhh, that reminded me, I moved my coding setup from the i3 to the mini, and it just worked : )
That OBD device has been in the i3 port for the past 3 years I think...
I was able to set "eco pro" as the default (green equivalent).

I'll be interested to read about what this app can do with the MINI Cooper SE. Before my SE went to the body shop for its scoopless hood installation, I didn't get around to trying to access the hidden menu found on the BMW i3.

Hidden Menu Access
1. Press the Trip Reset button for more than 10 seconds
2. Use the Trip button to highlight Unlocking
3. Long-press Trip button to select Unlocking
4. Press Trip button a number of times equal to the sum of the last 5 digits in the car's serial number
5. Long-press Trip button to open hidden menu

I don't know what info the SE might reveal there. The BMW i3 data includes:
13.08 Batt. Kapa. Max. (maximum battery capacity)
13.09 State of charge (SOC, battery %)
13.10 Batt. Ladung (battery charge in kWh)
14.05 Batterietemp (battery temperature)

Nice. So you can select what mode it starts in? Does the dongle need to stay plugged in or does it change a setting in the ecu?
 
Yes, I was able to select eco pro as the mode it starts in, much like the i3...I did that in 2017 and had completely forgot about it.
I think I used a dongle before, then upgraded to the BT adaptor with the bimmercode app on my iPhone...you do not need to leave the adaptor in there, but I forgot to take it out : )

It is super slow to start up thou, took like 5 min for the app to read in the data...configuring it was simple, just one setting.
There were a lot of stuff in there, but I am not sure if they are “hidden” features or just features that do not apply to the SE.
