First transmission failure?

Well, after too many hours and too much money invested trying to figure out what's wrong with my Clarity (see my other posts), I've become convinced that something mechanically inside the transmission is messed up. I've thoroughly explored everything I could other than the transmission because of the improbability that someone mechanically would go wrong. I always assumed that the only transmission failures on the Clarity would be electrical, IE failed motor position resolver, winding insulation breakdown, etc. Well, here I am. At some point I'm going to take it to the dealership and demand they figure out what's wrong, last time they gave me the usual BS of "it's normal", but I've honestly had it with diagnosing this. I will be taking this up with Honda NA if the dealership doesn't get this resolved. Reason I'm posting this here is so nobody else wastes their time with a similar issue, if the lower torque rod isn't the problem I would bet on the transmission.

Here's a link to @TC1782's description of his transmission's misbehavior.

We can all try to achieve these lofty goals, but we may have to face the fact that some folks are just better at wasting time than others.

I thought I had a bad transmission also. When I pulled the regen paddle the driveline made a rumbling sound and a vibrating feel in the front end. Took it to the dealer twice and they could find no abnormal issues. I drive the car and had someone watch the brake pressure on Mr Fixit’s odb2 scanner. Turns out when the paddle is pulled back it the computer applies about 80psi of brake pressure even though I wasn’t touching the brakes. I had my local mechanic replace front rotors and brake pads. Neither of those items were worn but were corroded. Long story short fixing the brakes on the front cured the rumble and vibration. I was very surprised that the mechanical brakes are applied when using the regen paddles. Don’t know if this helps

The braking system applies the brake pads at a "touching" pressure whenever more than a little of braking power is requested. I don't think the brakes are what's causing this, but they ARE corroded on the inside face of the rotor... Hmm.

Update for those who are interested: the dealership continues to claim things are normal, escalating things hasn't gotten me anywhere (yet!)
There is some good news however: the issue seems to be getting worse, I suspect it's only a matter of time until something fails catastrophically.

Well, its continuing to get worse. I can feel clunking at 70 mph now, and there is a very prominent whom whom noise, sometimes it will start vibrating really loudly (its almost like when you hit one of those rumble strips at high speeds) Today it started making a faint grinding sound that on occasion will get really loud (I can feel it too), then goes back to the normal grinding noise.

For those looking for an updated the vibration has died down a bit, grinding and whom whom noises continue. I feel like the clunking is getting worse. I must admit, at high speeds the clunk is kinda enjoyable, stepping on the pedal and having my head hit the headrest so hard it almost hurts really adds to the feeling on instant torque.
