Well, after too many hours and too much money invested trying to figure out what's wrong with my Clarity (see my other posts), I've become convinced that something mechanically inside the transmission is messed up. I've thoroughly explored everything I could other than the transmission because of the improbability that someone mechanically would go wrong. I always assumed that the only transmission failures on the Clarity would be electrical, IE failed motor position resolver, winding insulation breakdown, etc. Well, here I am. At some point I'm going to take it to the dealership and demand they figure out what's wrong, last time they gave me the usual BS of "it's normal", but I've honestly had it with diagnosing this. I will be taking this up with Honda NA if the dealership doesn't get this resolved. Reason I'm posting this here is so nobody else wastes their time with a similar issue, if the lower torque rod isn't the problem I would bet on the transmission.
