I've seen reviews varying from "wow" to "meh" on the HK system in the MINI. I quite enjoy the HK system in my Subaru Legacy, and since my 17 year old has essentially taken ownership of that car, and I've been listening to my tunes through a cigarette lighter, bluetooth, FM modulator in a 2010 Toyota Yaris for the last year, I'm looking forward to hearing some of the nuances in my music again, if the car ever makes it Stateside...

So I figured I would put together a playlist appropriate for the vehicle's heritage. These were the first selections to pop into my head, but I figured crowdsourcing would be both fun and instructive. Cheers!

Instrumental passages of Wake Up, Keep the Car Running, and No Cars Go by Arcade Fire had been featured more than once on (the good series of) Top Gear with Jeremy, James and Richard.

I just happened upon a way to actually share Apple Music playlists, so here's my EV Life playlist as a clickable link, with song previews unless you subscribe to Apple Music, in which case it actually gives you the playlist.

Yeah, with 4 kids I finally drank the Apple Kool-Aid a few years ago, so the link worked perfectly and I am currently "cruisin'" (kinda a Digable Planets vibe). Thanks!

Being an old guy, I hesitated to contribute, but I'm a Dave Edmunds fan and the first song I play in a brand-new car is "Crawling From The Wreckage" from 1979. Both the video and audio are rough in that YT video, but you get to see Edmunds singing "Crawling from the wreckage into a brand-new car." The audio is better here.

Perfect! Added.
One line in "Crawling From The Wreckage" is "I took out my revenge on the revolution counter," which prompts me to go off-topic: Wouldn't it be interesting to have an optional display of the SE's motor RPMs? The motor's speed is always proportional to the road speed, so knowing the gearing would make it possible to calculate the motor's speed at 150 km/h (93.2 mph), when the controller says "enough already!"
