Feeling cheated

I think simply dealing with the GM of the dealership and letting them know they are violating the contract and that you will not drop the issue is enough. I have don't this before in a similar situation on a non EV. Dealers can be real scumbags as they think they have all the leverage.

bought my first Tesla. the purchase was quick and simply, no dealing or haggling with sales rep. Not sure I can go back to buying cars through a dealership.
 
FYI, all my purchases are this easy. I never go to a dealer; I always email with the manager (sales/fleet/internet) and lock it in then just show up to sign and drive. This is not unique to Tesla.

Even the Mini, they gave me $500 off when everyone else was at MSRP. People who go into dealerships to buy cars are targets for scummy sales people!

You do realize that *your* purchase price was negotiated before the Ever Given ran aground and the global supply chain failed?

Test your approach today, and see how accommodating dealerships are.o_O
 
Well, I am in the process of possibly ordering an I4 M50, so while YOU may not be able to get a decent deal, it doesn't mean nobody can! The same crappy dealers from before are worse and the same great dealers from before are great. The supply chain just widened the gap. In fairness, I have relationships that span more than one purchase, but I am able to get the BMW at MSRP if I want it. My approach is just the same with the same great results, dependent on WHO the dealership is.

Slightly off-topic, but congrats on your coming i4 -- have read great things. I realized we don't have a BMW i4 subforum, so I created one in case you want to share some of your buying/ownership experience with us.

Thanks! Not 100% sure yet, depends if I can get delivery this year as I need the tax credit! lol, might end up with Q4 e-tron, or whatever I can actually get by the cutoff. thanks for creating the forum. The i4M50 is a really fun car actually!
 
Just Cancelled my Pre-Order. Dealer was asking over MSRP. Wanted them to transfer the pre-order to another dealer. As per FAQ this can be done.
But to my surprise dealer or specialist had no clue. Finally after following up for few days they said you need to cancel and do another pre-order. That's a transfer.. huh!
I didn't want to deal with them anymore, in tech terms transfer is just database entry manipulation using a frontend portal.

Left me think, How good will be there's software in the car.

Not sure I buy this comment... GM explicitly gives you instructions on how to do it and who in GM to contact via their Concierge line.
The fact you go around and then attack their OS in the Lyriq makes me think this is more a troll.

I've been in constant contact with Hummer EV owners/Reservation holders on the HummerChat forums and non of them had issues transferring to another dealer.

Sorry if you didn't like the comment. But that's how frustrated im.
BTW I did reach there Specialist/LYRIQ Cadillac EV Concierge at 1-844-EVCADILLAC, or 1-844-382-2345. They have a case opened on my name on May 19th. No call backs from them, i had to follow-up each time and at the end i was advised you need to cancel and re-order.
 
Well as I contacted Cadillac EV Concierge 3 different times and never heard anything back until yesterday. Now I’m told I have no order and will have to wait until 2024 orders open up. WTF! Way to go Cadillac. Way to treat your customers.
 
Yeah nothing adding up here. Once you have the confirmation Email, the order number, and the dealership has the same then you won't hear anything until they give you your build week. The Concierge won't know anything until then.

I'd also ask to be directed to their supervisors not just Level 1 Concierge if you are experiencing issues.

If you feel the dealership did something behind your back then get in touch with GM corporate, not concierge.
 
THE GENESIS EV60 LOOKS VERY TEMPTING IF YOU CAN'T GET SATISFACTION WITH YOUR LYRIQ DEALER. NISSAN ARIYA IS ALSO COMING SOON. I MIGHT EVEN CONSIDER A MODEL Y WITH A $7500 FED TAX CREDIT.

I agree the Lyriq doesn't seem very impressive, but it's a lot harder to cross-shop EVs than SUVs because test-drives are often difficult to come by.
 
Lyriq looks better than the EV60 on all angles... looks like someone had fun with a bubble tool on the EV60, also its range isn't impressive either.
