The space it tight. Won't fix a 'max' phone. And the speed is much slower than the USB-C port. I don't typically use it, and I thought I would.
This post shows a 3D-printed holder for larger phones that replaces the one MINI puts in the center console.

I wish the charger in simply unplugged so I could use the console space for more junk. When I picked up my SE I asked the dealer to remove the device but they told me a chargerectomy would entail major electrical surgery.

Was looking through the owners manual online and it mentions that they built-in Qi charger also has an LTE signal booster. I've never heard anyone mention this or discuss. Maybe that's what it would have been a bit more complicated to remove?

I’ve seen a YouTube video from The MINI Vlog on how to fit the revised piece which will allow larger phones to fit in the armrest charger but it looks like too much hassle for me. It might work for someone who is keener than I am to have it though.

The joy of having the larger iPhone is the larger battery so I rarely if ever need to charge the phone in the car. There’s also the issue of me forgetting my phone every time I leave the car if it isn’t in its usual place in my pocket to consider, but I only have myself to blame for that one.

True - I had this problem, as well. I kept forgetting to grab the phone when getting out of the Mini!

Any recommendations for a good custom-fit sunshade for a 2022? I like the accordion-type (not the roll up type). I bought the Covercraft for this car, but it was not cut properly around he rain sensor, and despite a lot of communication with covercraft they couldn’t solve it.

The official MINI sunshade doesn’t seem to be in stock anywhere. Any other good options you’ve seen?

Covercraft makes the official MINI one, FYI. That's what I have and it works fine for me. They do make two versions, one for cars with the rain sensor and one without. Are you sure they sent you the right one?

That's very interesting and useful information, Chrunck. I was told I was sent the correct part, but the cutout for the sensor is high and did not fit around the rounded part of the of the sensor housing. Does your cover fit around the bottom of the sensor housing? I have attached a pic of my condition for reference. The shade is pushed all the way down/forward to get as much clearance as I can. It fit okay other than this issue.

Perhaps you got a Countryman SE version? Maybe Covercraft doesn't realize there's an F56 SE. I would be surprised if the dimensions of the windshields are the same.

I appreciate the info on this! Will order one as well, I wonder if they sent the one without rain sensor? there’s an option for that with the SE on their website.

The part number is UV11363SV. It is *supposed* to fit 2014-2022 Mini 2-door hardtop with rain sensor …..not SE specific. I don’t imagine there is a difference in the SE vs non-SE rain sensors, but could be wrong about this. I sent a bunch of photos to Covercraft, at their request, showing the problem area, and they did not identify the cause of the problem. I eventually returned the part.

Interested in any insight or good alternatives. Starting to get warm and sunny in the Bay Area, so the sun shade will be useful soon!

Yep, mine looks just like that. Obviously it would better if there was a notch for the bottom part of the sensor, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Taking a cue from a post in the "Deliveries" thread---what are accessories you found particularly useful? Here's one---bins that fit in the door handles so you can put stuff in them. It keeps things close at hand.View attachment 15076

Thank you for this recommendation! I have tweaked my armrest inserts and create a review video. I really like them. I mentioned you in the vid description.

That’s an awesome video. Great stuff.

I ended up with adhesive felt to reduce rattling. Very similar to your solution!

This is a great addition, Gville!! I'm pretty sure MINI should hire in their PR department, I watched ALL your videos before ordering my SE, and I'm pretty sure I'll re-watch them many times again now that I have my own. Really helpful stuff, Sir!!

Thanks to you both! My last four videos were created in Final Cut Pro on a Mac rather than iMovie on my iPad. So this has been a bit of a learning experience for me, software wise, and one of the reasons I had a gap in posting new videos last Fall. Working full time and trying to learn a new way to edit videos for my Mini habit...

Bottle Opener by Tikit -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HKSBCG3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I use this seat belt clip all the time, when I want to leave my wife in the SE with the "engine running."
I just got a pair, they work great to open bottles. Fit nicely in the SE, but I'm using the other one in my 2014 Clubman S (R55) and it's a really tight fit that requires a bit of force to insert or remove, but at least they come out.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I was taking a look at Accessories on the Mini site and had some questions. Excited to personalize mine when it arrives!

Illuminated Door Sills - Can anyone confirm these work in the SE? Looking at these: https://www.shopminiusa.com/PRODUCT/1378/UNION-JACK-ILLUMINATED-DOOR-SILLS

LED Door Projectors - Same for these, do they work in the SE? https://www.shopminiusa.com/PRODUCT/2635/MINI-LED-DOOR-PROJECTORS

I ask because even though I select the SE, it still shows things that definitely aren't for the SE (like fuel door caps and whatnot).

My Iconic SE came with a door projector on the driver's side-mirror. If there was an option for another one on the passenger side-mirror, I'd be interested.

The SE has a unique door sill plate--do you want to abandon that for the lighted Union Jack? The lighted door sill option I selected for my Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid was meant for only that car, so that made sense to me, but I don't want to abandon any SE-unique items MINI created for my SE.
