For clarity, I am on iOS and I am specifically talking about when you first open the app and the game advertisements comes up. You have to wait 5 seconds for the little "X" to show up (and is never in the same corner) and press it to get into the actual forum. I realize that you guys have to make money, I would just like the option to pay to make it go away. If I am the only one that feels this way, then it's not a real big deal.

Apologies for the bad experience, and thanks for more specificity. I will pass it along.
I'm using an Android OS and haven't experienced this ad.

I get better results with not leaving any space between the colon and the URL; that restricts the search to only results at that website. Putting a space in allows results from other sites.

But by all means people should try both methods for themselves.

I know they have to make money. I just want to pay them a fair amount to make these stupid ads go away. Am I the only one who sees these annoying ads each time you open the app and have to wait 5 seconds before the ‘x’ appears to make it go away?IMG_4095.webp

I did get one the other day myself. Had to wait a few seconds.
From what I understand, we hoping to change the company that serves us ads, which should stop this sort of total screen hijack.

Again, apologies for the poor experience.

Well, at the very least you got an EV ad. I just tried the app and got what seemed like a dating site for conservatives.

I understand there will be some changes to our advertising on the site soon, so hopefully that will yield an improvement.
 
Did something change (for worse) with the ads? All of a sudden I'm getting a banner on every page and thread that I open, with instruction to "Subscribe for No Ads". Subscribe to what??

Sorry, a bit slow to respond to this thread. I didn't have electricity and internet for a few days because of the hurricane.

So, yes. We've changed our ad supplier, so the ads should be more relevant to our members. The one that pops up at the bottom of the page is annoying, so I'll see if changes can be made to that.

Yes, we are offering subscriptions now, which will get rid of the ads and offer other benefits.

I haven't heard anything about selling data. Will inquire.

Apparently, we have a bug with Paypal we need to work out. Hopefully, it will be fixed tomorrow. If your subscription doesn't kick in properly in the next couple days, shoot me a message in case there's a separate issue.
 
@Domenick - noticed that No 4 link is missing 'https://' - was trying to open up the SB PDFs and could not log into the forum. Finally caught that the link was not secured.

Also, it may be a good idea to collect the PDFs of all SBs and put them in the first post? Currently looking for 18-091 for example.. TIA.
