Just a gentle reminder that with the cooler Fall temperatures, time to inflate tires to your preferred pressure. Mind added 5-10 psi after the summer heat.
Great reminder @bwilson4web ! I top off my tires monthly and before an out-of-town trip. I always take along a tire pump on road trips to cooler climates.
I recently re-inflated my tires to my desired pressure (42 psi front, 39 psi rear), they had dropped by almost 10 psi (still around 32 psi). I immediately saw a 2%-5% increase in range, so I really need to keep a closer eye on it.
I just watched a video on how the pressures suggested on the tag inside the door of your vehicle is usually a lot less than what is best for mileage and tires. I have since upped mine. It makes sense if you've ever ridden a bicycle with low tires. It is much harder to pedal.
