Exploring Glaciers in an EV

Columbia Icefields between Banff and Jasper in Alberta has started operating an EV replacing the old diesel version of the Electric Ice Explorer.
Utilizing 6 kW bifacial solar panels, (so they gain sun from both sides) and regeneration to recharge the battery pack.

It's good that the tourists experiencing the glacier are no longer melting the glacier.

This is the first one in an existing fleet of 10 (the others still diesel powered), so a heads up to be sure to reserve the EV.
Maybe mention of a follow up report that will be produced/displayed of the experience on this forum.

"Noble says the Electric Ice Explorer, which guests will easily spot thanks to its blue exterior, is estimated to reduce 200 to 300 kilograms of CO₂ per day, based on modelled comparisons with diesel Ice Explorers operating on the same route. The pilot season is designed to test how that performance holds up across real alpine conditions – temperature, terrain, and loa so the team can apply what they learn to the rest of the fleet."
